This year, the Alliance of Philippine Community Organisations Inc (APCO) is hosting a Freedom Luncheon and Ball, to be held on Sunday the 8th of June on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend at Conca D’Oro (next to the Riverwood Train Station).

If coming by car, there is unlimited free parking in surrounding areas and under the Riverwood Shopping Centre. Entry ticket is $80 inclusive of $10 raffle tickets for the $1,000.00 first prize, sitdown three-course lunch and hours of dancing accompanied by the Maynilad Band.

The highlight is for APCO to pay tribute to government bodies, business groups, community organisations and individuals who have been very generous in donating aids to the victims of calamities in the Philippines.

Hopefully this recognition will inspire others to generously share and volunteer their services in times of need. The proceeds of this Ball will again go to the various advocacy and community projects of APCO, including the continuing rebuilding and rehabilitation of the victims of super typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda).

The Freedom Ball has been an avenue for the exuberant display of the creativity, talents and teamwork of APCO volunteer-members and affiliates. The very prestigious Filipiniana Gown and Barong Competition are always highly anticipated because this is the time that the best national attire are worn and appreciated.

For tickets and inquiries call Dr Cen Amores (02) 96456670 or Ruben Amores (0407 870 771).
