When it comes to pulling power and staying power in the Sydney nightclub circuit, few come close to 'Manila By Night'.
It is one of the longest-running live shows ever in the Sydney Nightclub Circuit. On 3 May, at the Blacktown Workers Club in Blacktown, the home of Filipinos in Australia, the show had proven yet again that it's in for the long haul.
The vivacious and all-round performer - Miss Lillian de los Reyes wowed more than 600 guests from start until the end of the two-and-a-half hours show. She is heart-and-centre of the show's popularity and pulling power.
On the night, she was supported by Alex Fernandez, Tina Ranoso Bangel, Jayden Rodriguez, the Six Pak Dancers and the Six Pak Band. The show was produced by Six Pak Productions, which is owned by Aussie producers Cheryl and Sharon.
Through the years, Manila by Night (spelled "Manilla" in the flyers and promotions) has remained one of the most sought-after club entertainment, outlasting similar shows that have come and gone.
Performers in previous shows include household names to the Filipino community including Rod Dingle, Luis Aguilar, Cleo Diana, the Ros-Cel Aguilar duo and many more.
