The Philippines has been nominated in four categories in the 27th annual World Travel Awards, considered to be the most prestigious honour programme in global travel and tourism. These categories are:
*World's Leading Beach Destination 2020: Philippines
*World's Leading Dive Destination 2020: Philippines
*World's Leading Island Destination 2020: Siargao, Philippines
*World's Leading Tourist Board 2020: Philippines, Department of Tourism
Tourism Attaché Ms Norjamin delos Reyes said:
"We need everyone's support. It is a tough competition because aside from racing to win in the four categories, the Philippines is also defending its title of 2019 World's Leading Dive Destination."

Voting closes at midnight on Oct. 25, 2020. Votes cast by verified members of the Tourism and Travel Industry will count as two votes while non-industry member votes will count as one.
