PAACI: Project 500 aims to build a landmark hub for arts, culture, and innovation by 2031

The NARRA Cooperative Ltd has officially launched PAACI: Project 500, a historic initiative to build Australia’s first major Filipino-Australian Cultural and Innovation Centre—a bold, multi-million dollar vision set for completion by 2031.

Following the ongoing success of ACI Central, a functioning community hub in Campbelltown that currently hosts cultural workshops, exhibitions, and gatherings, PAACI: Project 500 takes the dream further. The future centre will feature a 500-seat theatre, a Filipino fusion café, rehearsal and gallery spaces, a Sari-Sari store and gift shop, multi-use commercial rooms, a community garden, and a playground, creating a permanent, purpose-built home for Filipino-Australian stories and expression.

“This isn’t just a building—it’s a home for identity, connection, and legacy,” says Marcus Rivera, President of NARRA Cooperative Ltd. “We want this to be a beacon for the next generation of Filipino-Australians and a place that celebrates our heritage in the multicultural fabric of Australia.”

With over 400,000 Filipino-Australians calling Australia home, the need for cultural representation has never been more urgent. The PAACI (Philippine-Australian Arts, Culture & Innovation) initiative also aligns with broader diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies being adopted across government and corporate sectors. The campaign is now actively seeking corporate sponsorships, community donations, and volunteer support. While the final location of the new site is yet to be announced, ACI Central in Campbelltown continues to operate and serve as the anchor for engagement and programming.
