Dr Cen Amores, President of the Multicultural Assistance Task Force (MATF) in collaboration with Fil-Aus community organisations has announced the appeal for assistance to our kababayans in Northern Philippines, whose sufferings brought by the pandemic, had been exacerbated by the devastation caused by Typhoon Maring. In particular the requests for assistance have come from the people in the Ilocos Region.

The partners in the humanitarian appeal include the Filipino Lesbian and Gay Community (FLAGCOM), Filipinos Women Support Group Macarthur, Alliance of Philippine Community Organisations (APCO), Auburn Small Community Organisations Network (ASCON) and Kapitbahayan NSW.

The assistance requested are cash (which can be deposited in the nominated bank account) and in-kind donations (non-perishable food, clean clothes, blankets, personal grooming products and kitchen utensil, etc.) .  The drop off points for the in-kind donations are also listed in the flyer.

Time to clear and make space in our wardrobe and cupboard, and help others.  No amount is small as collectively the donation will provide a big help to our kababayans.
