Australia’s favourite Broadway and international theatre superstar and son, MiG Ayesa has recently come home to spread cheers to his fans and friends!

MiG is set to team up again with legendary conductor, composer and arranger, George Ellis.  Their friendship and professional collaboration transcend time and distance. MiG and George first worked together on a pro-am production of GREASE way back when MiG was just 16 years old and George was at the Conservatorium of Music. One can say that they have a successful LDR, with MiG being based in New York and George in Sydney.

It is always lovely that despite being huge in the constellation out there, MiG always finds time to connect with us in The Australian Filipina.  We are happy to share his responses to a few quick questions we asked him.

*What have you been up to before this trip back home?

It’s been crazy busy in New York. I have been full-time working for SongDivision (www.SongDivison.com) but also touring with Windborne Music, with SoulsSystem Orchestra, performed the music of The Who on BROADWAY ROCKS THE WHO in New York and in Miami and also even managed to perform on a couple of cruise ships over Christmas.

*How does it feel being back?

It’s quite surreal. Being at home after my father’s passing has been a little strange to adapt, but great to spend time with Mum.

Always great to be back in Sydney, but what is it with all this rain?!

*What are you looking forward to performing in the upcoming four shows?

The chance to be working with the legendary George Ellis, the State Theatre in Sydney, performing for my home crowd and George Michael and Elton John music… awesomeness.

*What would you like to say to your fans and friends?

It’s just wonderful to be here and I hope we can all get together somehow…

If you want to catch MiG Ayesa, one of our Fil-Aus pride, he is doing the following shows with George Ellis and other local talented artists:
