This month, the Australian Filipina Business and Lifestyle blog will host a series of workshops for Filipino-Australians keen to know more about business and lifestyle issues.

In this first workshop, the Australian Filipina will tackle one of the most topical issues affecting every Filipina keen to save for their financial future: property investing. In recent months, there's been several property development groups that have come to Australia selling Philippine-based properties. And they come bearing solid news: despite the ongoing political turmoil, the Philippine economy has never been better.

Thanks to stronger employment figures and just overall general business health, there are more compelling reasons to invest in the country. To frame the discussion, the Australian Filipina publisher Michelle Baltazar will draw on her 12-year plus experience as a finance journalist and publisher and will invite her network of investment experts to be guest speakers at the workshops.

The workshops will feature:

- a Q&A session with finance journalist and publisher Michelle Baltazar on superannuation and retirement savings

- basic tips about how to talk money with your partner by financial adviser Sheila Cabacungan from Carnegie Financial Services

- step-by-step guide on property investing in the Philippines by Josh Alfafara, international marketing manager of Alveo, a property development arm of Ayala Land, Inc.

The workshop is for a small group of 5 - 7 people only, with venue and dates to be confirmed.

To register your interest, please email Michelle on [email protected] or call/text 0412 906 224.

First come, first serve basis.

This workshop is free to guests, with compliments of the event partner, Ayala Land.
