NSW Premier Gldadys Berjeklian kept her promise to further ease restrictions based on meeting the recommended twenty eight days without case of community transmission.

Ms Berjeklian announced that from Monday, December 7, NSW residents will enjoy further easing of restrictions, primarily reducing the social distancing 4sqm rule to 2sqm, with the exception of gyms and nightclubs.

“We are grateful to the people in NSW for their patience and understanding over what has been an incredibly difficult year,” Ms Berejiklian said.

“The rolling back of restrictions across the State is only possible because of the excellent work of the community who have followed social distancing guidelines and continued to come forward for testing."

The easing of restrictions in effect, removes the maximum capacity limit for:

*booking at  hospitality venues

* Weddings

*Funerals

 *Religious services

* Regional agricultural shows; and

* Corporate events.

For stadiums and theatres, outdoors will be allowed 100 per cent seated capacity, while indoors will be kept at 75 per cent seated capacity.

The big winner is for gatherings in outdoor public places where up to 100 people will be allowed; up to 5,000 people for organised outdoor events for enclosed, ticketed and seated events and 3,000 for other organised outdoor events such as community sport and outdoor marches.

While there is no cap for outdoor events, only up to 50 people are allowed to dance and perform in indoor gatherings.

Yesterday, December 3, 2020 a positive case was caught from within quarantine.  Investigation are still being conducted on how the transmission occurred.
