The Australian community will be treated to an extraordinary concert on 1 June when X-Factor's Dami Im and Rose Fontanes will go head to head, or rather, back to back, in a show dedicated to Haiyan survivors.

The concert is on 1 June, Sunday, at the historic Sydney Town Hall, with supporting acts Lillian de los Reyes and Brian Lorenz, both well-known artists in the Filipino-Australian community.

Organised by the Filipino Community Cooperative Ltd, spokesperson and the co-op's chair Kate Andres said the show will allow them to raise much needed funds to go towards communities affected by the typhoon. According to government data, more than 16 million people were affected by the storm and the recovery bill is in the billions of dollars.

Andres said Co-op members are encouraged to take advantage of their employer's dollar-matching programs, where they are available, to raise more money towards their fundraising efforts.

Dami Im was last year's winner of X-Factor Australia while Rose Fontanes took the same crown on X-Factor Israel.

Tickets are $50 or $70 and can be bought online on www.tiket.com.au. For more enquiries, call 0430 551 351, 9823 5425 or 0414 813 504.
